The Accountable Cleveland Era!
_______
Between the $2,200 office chair, the $329,000 City Hall makeover, and those pricey Martha’s Vineyard trips, the Bibb administration has lost its way. These optics look even worse when you consider the city simultaneously lost $3.3 million in lead-removal grants and the police department missed the Mila Chatman and Amor Wilson case for five years despite a father’s pleas. Throw in the hiring of a former roommate with a racist background and a "closed-door" culture at City Hall, and many Clevelanders feel like the accountability they were promised has been replaced by expensive drapes and a serious lack of transparency.
2026 Cleveland City Council Budget Hearings
Each year, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Cleveland are required to develop and approve the following year's budget.
The Mayor must submit his draft budget to the Cleveland City Council by February 1 each year. On the Tuesday after Presidents' Day, City Council begins a series of hearings where it can review, refine, and revise the budget. City Council must approve the annual budget by April 1.
